A group of young people comes together to solve the mysteries of an especially elaborate scheme of escape rooms, all of which have mortal consequences. If you can accept the unrealistic aspects of this concept, it’s fun to watch how imaginative and diabolical the puzzles become. There are a few moments of slight suspense when each environment gets most perilous, but it’s mostly just about outsmarting an evil game master. It’s been compared to the SAW series, but this movie relies much more on clever mind games than torturous violence (and is already set up for a sequel).
