An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power (review)

Just like the title, this follow-up feels longer. Al Gore is back to amplify his treatise about the terrifying effects of global warming. The core message makes it dramatically clear that climate change is our fault and we can fix it. This is told with effective statistics and sometimes astonishing visuals. Since this is a sequel, there’s more of Gore travelling around the world meeting with people. As a film, it starts to bog down with his behind-the-scenes proceedings at the Paris Agreement. Even so, the amplification of his original message is more vital than ever, which makes the film important.
