A NEW SLANT ON CHAMBER MUSIC
I’ve created the Annual Review video for the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce for the last two years. They wanted something to break the mold this year.
We eliminated the endless narration and gave the board members a break from being on camera. This streamlined the video down to graphics and visuals. My final suggestion was to use a soundtrack of music from local bands: not only would this make the video more interesting, it would showcase our local creativity.
After collecting CDs from a number of Richmond performers, I ended up using three:
- the Modern Groove Syndicate “Fryin’ Eggs & Bacon”
- Old School Freight Train “Dog and Pony Show”
- Marna Bales Band “I’m So Glad” (she also performed the National Anthem to open the evening)
