AUTISM IN THE FUTURE
The Faison School is a prominent center for children with autism. One of the founders, Alan Kirshner realized that there are not many opportunities for these students once they become adults (no occupational training, no housing, no community support). So, he’s leading up the drive to start the Faison Centers of Excellence.
Through my work with Junior Achievement, Alan asked me to help create a video to help explain the challenges and describe this new solution. DPs Kevin Burger & Bunt Young volunteered their time to shoot the parents’ dramatic stories and educators’ explanations.
Since their budget was limited, my reduced-rate included a graphics package to give the show a visual edge. The finished product takes the parents from despair to hope as it explains this innovative center.
