CD OR NOT CD?

AMF Bowling has used my talents to create 9 videos, but this was the most exciting project yet. Park Group teamed with me and Dominion Digital to create an interactive training CD. The challenge was to make it better than the ones they already had: more attractive, more complex and faster running.

The scripting took many unique turns: multiple choice questions with only correct answers, a pop-up animated character, matching quizzes and much more. The goal was to keep the learners involved by avoiding any kind of predictable pattern.

We shot one day of video that featured two narrators and three employees. Park’s graphic designer Dave Swain created an innovative visual template that placed photos on a 3D plane. D-Dig’s Darrell Estabrook had the enormous job of programming the seven lessons full of video, audio clips and complicated graphics.

The response from the field has been overwhelmingly positive. We’ve been asked to re-version it for use in Australia.
