DISNEY ABILITIES
Promoting the hiring of people with disabilities is the primary function of the USBLN. Kevin Burger and I traveled to Disney World for their latest convention. The original plan was to conduct interviews in a quiet room, but I suggested we do them “man on the street” style to get more energy (and more people).
After about 25 interviews and event video, I came back to my Avid. Dave Swain provided a graphics package that added a layer of visual interest (otherwise it would have been a string of interviews and Broll).
A narrator read the graphics screens (for the visually impaired) and subtitles were keyed in (for the hearing impaired). The finished product makes a convincing case for the inclusion of the disabled in every workforce and membership in the USBLN.
