FROM PRAGUE TO TULSA
For two years in a row, Park Group and I created new music videos for the national FFA convention.
Composer Eric Heiberg wrote the songs based on their meeting themes and I traveled around the country to shoot the video. The FFA (formerly known as Future Farmer of America) offers a surprising variety of programs and it took more than 50 setups each day (with a pickup crew) to show it all. We shot in rural South Carolina and on a beach in Miami for 2001 (the week after the WTC attack…yes, travel was a challenge). Two days after I returned from a European vacation in 2002, I was on the plane to Tulsa and Philadelphia.
Two days of fast-cut editing and it was ready for the big premiere before 30,000 members at the national convention.
