RAISING MONEY AND MORE
One of the projects I produced for Genworth wasn’t for their employees. They are one of the founding members of the Richmond African American Scholarship Fund and they wanted to celebrate it’s 5th anniversary.
Even though I wrote a script, we needed to hear from the students and mentors involved in the program. We booked a day to schedule the interviews and got permission to use library at Thomas Jefferson High School (school was out). One challenge was to shoot 13 interviews in the same room, but not look like it. We placed every interview at slightly different angles, adjusted lighting styles and got a dozen different looks.
Genworth designer Keith Williams created a background that matched the organization’s logo and composited into a final product.
