Theatre comes to the Byrd

Cadence Theatre Company has announced Sitelines, a new project that invites Richmond audiences to attend free, contemporary plays performed in public gathering spots and cultural venues.

 

The inaugural production will be Annie Baker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Flick, in association with Richmond’s Byrd Theatre, where it’ll be presented. The play is set in the theatre and the audience will be seated on the stage, while the action occurs in the house, aisles and balcony.

 

It’s being directed by by Rusty Wilson and will feature Marquis Hazelwood, Daniel Kunkel, Landon Nagel and NY-based actor/RVA native Emma Orelove. (last seen here in Love Kills at the Firehouse). She has performed Off-Broadway in The Church of Why Not and Our Town.

 

The Flick will be presented at The Byrd, 10/8-10 with post-show discussions and reception will following the shows on Saturday and Sunday. Seating is limited. Free general admission tickets must be reserved in advance by clicking here.
